Documents needed for a tourist

The following documents need to be carried with you on the interview date

• Valid Passport – must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended stay and issued within the last 10 years, with at least 2 blank pages.
• Completed Visa Application Form – filled out and signed.
• Passport-Size Photographs – as per Schengen photo requirements.
• Visa Fee Payment Receipt – proof of payment.
• Travel Itinerary – round-trip flight booking or reservation.
• Accommodation Proof – hotel reservations, Airbnb booking, or invitation letter from host in Switzerland.
• Travel Insurance
• Proof of Financial Means – bank statements (last 3–6 months), income proof, or sponsorship letter to show sufficient funds for the stay.
• Employment / Study Documents – If employed: No Objection Certificate (NOC) and leave approval letter. If self-employed: business registration documents. If student: letter from school/university.
• Civil Status Documents – marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, etc. (if applicable).
• Previous Travel History – old passports, previous visas (Schengen, U.S., U.K., etc., if applicable).
• Additional documents may be required depending on your visa type (tourist, business, visit).
